For just $1,500, we can fund over 200 home-delivered meals, complete with safety checks for our homebound seniors, ensuring they receive nourishment and companionship. If you increase your donation to $2,500, we can provide 400 meals at our congregate meal sites, where seniors can enjoy meals together, fostering social interaction and community bonds. With a contribution of $5,000, we can deliver meals and safety checks to 714 homebound seniors or provide 1,000 meals at a congregate site, making an enormous difference in the lives of our seniors.
How we vet recipient partners
At AutoHeart, we prioritize partnering with reputable nonprofits that meet high standards of accountability and care. We prefer organizations that are contracted through Area Agencies on Aging, ensuring they adhere to federal and state regulations. We also collaborate with members of the Meals on Wheels America network, as well as programs that comply with the Older Americans Act Title III-C nutrition standards. Our partners are carefully vetted to ensure they maintain no or short waiting lists, reflecting their ability to serve the community effectively and efficiently.
How proceeds flow
When you donate your vehicle, approximately 70-80% of the gross proceeds go directly to our partner organizations that provide senior meal programs. After covering towing and processing costs, these funds are allocated according to a program ratio that ensures every dollar maximizes its impact on the services we provide. Your generosity directly supports the mission of delivering nutritious meals and safety checks to our seniors.
